Recently, leaders of major Sri Lankan political parties—including the ruling Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), United National Party (UNP), Communist Party of Sri Lanka (CPSL), Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), National Freedom Front (NFF), and Pivithuru Hela Urumaya (PHU), have sent letters to General Secretary Xi Jinping of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), extending warm congratulations on the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC. They spoke highly of the CPC's glorious history and great achievements, expressed deep admiration for General Secretary Xi Jinping's foresight and wisdom, and conveyed their hope to work together with the CPC to deepen Sri Lanka-China friendship and cooperation and promote world peace and development.
