On September 20–21, 2026, a ten-member delegation of retired senior star officers from Chinese National Defence University Alumni Association in Sri Lanka paid a return visit to their alma mater.

During the visit, the delegation engaged in cordial exchanges with university leadership and former instructors. The alumni shared updates on the recent development of the overseas alumni association and toured key campus facilities, including the University History Museum, international classrooms, international student dormitories, the officers' mess, and the Friendship Lounge. Revisiting the places where they once studied, the delegation witnessed firsthand the university's remarkable progress and new achievements.

The alumni expressed sincere gratitude for the rigorous training and mentorship they received from the Chinese People's Liberation Army. They also voiced the hope that more Sri Lankan military officers will join the alumni network, so as to further deepen the long-term exchanges and cooperation between the Sri Lanka Alumni Association and the National Defence University of China.

Captain Liang An, Deputy Defense Attache of the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka attended the group events.
