On June 16, a photo exhibition themed Heart to Heart, Side by Side showcasing achievements in China-Sri Lanka friendship and cooperation was successfully held at the outpatient building of the National Hospital of Sri Lanka. Hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka, the event was attended by Ambassador Qi Zhenhong, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, Sri Lanka’s Minister of Health and Mass Media, and Dr. Indika Sampath Kumara, Deputy Director General of the National Hospital, who all delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. Also present were Dr. Anil, Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning, hospital representatives, and representatives from the Chinese contractor.

Ambassador Qi Zhenhong noted that the photo exhibition featuring China-Sri Lanka cooperation achievements took place at the National Hospital, the largest single Chinese-aided project in Sri Lanka. The exhibition displays more than 350 selected photos spanning politics, economy, culture and numerous other sectors. These photos not only revisit the time-honored friendship between China and Sri Lanka but also consolidate the deepening bond linking the two nations.

Dr. Jayatissa and Dr. Kumara expressed their gratitude to the Chinese government and people for their selfless support. They commended China as a sincere and reliable friend of Sri Lanka and voiced expectations for broader all-round cooperation in the days ahead.
The event drew a warm reception and received wide media coverage from multiple Chinese and Sri Lankan news outlets.
