On April 25, the "All Things in Harmony Tai Chi Promotion Event," co-hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of Sri Lanka, and the Western Provincial Council, was held in Colombo. Ambassador H. E. Qi Zhenhong and Hon. S.K. Gamage, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports of Sri Lanka, attended and delivered remarks. Also present were the Deputy Minister of Education of Sri Lanka, the Secretary of the Western Province Council, other government officials, Tai Chi enthusiasts, and local residents, with a total of more than 500 people participating in the event.

Ambassador H. E. Qi Zhenhong stated that "harmony of all things" is the core essence of Tai Chi culture, which aligns with the principles of peaceful development and win-win cooperation advocated by China. China is willing to use Tai Chi as a medium to further promote cultural exchanges and mutual learning between China and Sri Lanka, injecting new vitality into deepening the traditional friendship between the two countries.
Hon.Gamage noted that sports play an important role in cultural exchanges and can help bring the hearts of people from different countries closer together. He expressed the hope that Tai Chi, as a traditional martial art, would continue to serve as an important bond linking the people of Sri Lanka and China and promoting friendly bilateral relations.

At the event venue, colorful flags fluttered and crowds gathered. During the warm-up session, the Sri Lankan Navy band played Chinese music, while calligraphy experiences and Tai Chi kite displays attracted many people to participate. Subsequently, Tai Chi enthusiasts from several Sri Lankan Wushu associations performed Taijiquan, Tai Chi Sword, Tai Chi Fan, Five-Animal Frolics, and Baduanjin. The smooth and flowing Taijiquan, the interplay of hardness and softness in Tai Chi Fan and Tai Chi Sword were splendid, and the Army martial arts team also presented special performance, drawing rounds of applause and attracting many passersby and tourists to stop and watch.
The event was widely covered by Chinese media such as Xinhua News Agency and China Daily, as well as multiple Sri Lankan media outlets in various languages, including the Daily News.
