To further facilitate visa applications, from the present date to December 31^th, 2026,  fingerprints collection is exempted for all eligible applicants who apply for short-term visas with a stay period no longer than 180 days at the China Embassy in Sri Lanka.

Applicants for Category D, J1, Q1, S1, X1 and Z visas, who are required to apply for residence permits after entering China, still follow a fingerprints collection procedure as required.
